Wine vines with blue wine grapes

Argentina

The majority of Argentina’s vineyards are located at the base of the Andes Mountains, in an area with both ample sunshine and snowmelt for irrigation. These conditions result in plump, deep-colored wines of which Malbec is the most important variety. High elevation vineyards (upwards of 7,500 ft!) have cool nighttime temperatures which help to maintain acidity in the wines. Beyond Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and an aromatic white called Torrontés are all well-worth exploring.

OUR STORY

Luke and Bridgett always enjoyed wine socially, but a trip to Germany in early 2006 really ignited their passion for fine wines.  After traveling the US and visiting the main wine regions over the last 20 years, both Luke and Bridgett are excited to bring their passion and vision to the marketplace.

Luke has been involved in the outsourced HR/Insurance industry for the past 19 years and Bridgett has worked in banking and mortgage for a leading credit union during the same time.  Both are continuing their respective careers but also working diligently on this new business venture together.

Luke is TABC certified, Texas Wine Certified, WSET Level 2 Certified, and currently in courses from the Wine Industry Sales Education, or WISE.  He has been a member of the Hill Country Wineries Association as well as the Texas Wine & Grape Growers Association in the past.  He also volunteers on the wine committee for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and has also conducted monthly wine events for the Hill Country Wine Club for the last 10 years. Luke is an active member of the Boerne Chamber of Commerce and often can be found pouring wine at various events around town.

Bridgett’s background involves retail, banking, and mortgage management.  She is a Daughter of the Republic and a UTSA Alumni, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the UTSA Alumni Association.

Bridgett and Luke have two wonderful daughters, one of which is studying pre-medicine at UTSA and one that attends Boerne Champion High School.
